Bakasoseji is a cosplay and fashion influencer from Sweden. He has a massive following around the world on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Weibo & Bilibili where he shows of his amazing fashion sense and cosplay costumes.

We had the honor of interviewing him via e-mail earlier this week where we discussed what got him into cosplay and much more. 

1. What got you into cosplay?

I wanted to get noticed by a very special girl online and I knew I had a better chance if I tried cosplay, since she is a cosplayer herself. Apparently, it worked, because she is now my girlfriend and has been for 3 years. 

2. What inspires you the most about cosplay?

And this girl, my girlfriend, is also my greatest inspiration to continue with cosplay, I want to make her proud! And I want to cosplay with her, I enjoy cosplay the most when I cosplay with her.

3. Where is your favorite cosplay convention?

NärCon Sweden. But I also like the weather in Indonesia, so I very much enjoy the Jakarta events and cons. 

4. What are your top 3 cosplay costumes and why?

1st - Tomoe from Kamisama Hajimemashita, because I love Yokai and half human characters.

2nd - The Cheshire cat from Yume100, he is also a half human character. And I'm very weak for cat eats, so The Cheshire fits me perfectly.

3rd - My 3rd fave cosplay has to be Victor from Yuri on Ice, because to the response from fans. A lot of people love seeing me as this character and since cosplay for me is about making not only myself happy but others as well, Victor has to be in the top 3 costumes of mine.

5. What is the most precious cosplay item you have ever bought?

I don't have one, but the most precious cosplay item that I have ever made has to be the Hiccup Shield that I made for an event that I and my girlfriend attended together when she visited Sweden for the first time. (She's from Indonesia, and we are in an LDR)
