Instrument Condition
The condition of all DIGIMART products can be divided into seven grades, with S being the highest grade and C being the worst grade, so you need to pay special attention when buying used products.

- ▲S means the product is brand new
- A+ means that the product is for resale but in the same condition as a new product
- A means the product is in good condition (usually no obvious dirt or marks from use)
- B+ means that the merchandise can be used as usual
- B means the merchandise may need to be repaired for the purpose for which it was used
- C+ means that the merchandise is functionally faulty and may not be fully functional
- C means the merchandise is defective, which usually means that it is unusable due to wear and tear or malfunction.
*It is worth noting that DIGIMART does not clearly state the criteria for each grade, so it is best to read the product description when selecting a used instrument. If you have any questions about the product, please feel free to contact customer service for confirmation.

The purchase method is very simple! Follow these 5 steps to get your hands on a Japanese musical instrument!
1. Search for products

You can search by product category. Chrome users can right-click and select "Translate to English" to make it easier to navigate the site.
▼You can also search from instrument brands by clicking on the Brand list.

To search for a product, if you already have a target, you can enter the product or brand name directly into the search bar at the top of the site. To get the best results, we recommend that you enter a Japanese name or keyword. Check out our handy tools to help find Japanese products online.
2. Confirm product information
When you find a product you like, make sure you check the product details, including price, sale date, and product status, etc. DIGIMART products are marked with a tax-inclusive price, and the status level and store where the product is sold are displayed at the bottom.

▼Each instrument should have a large number of photos (3 or more) for confirmation. If not, you should question the item's condition/authenticity. Please ask us to liaise with the seller for more information if you are unsure.

▼Check the "Product Description" section carefully, not only for the brand and name of the instrument but also for the condition of the instrument (any dirt or scratches, etc.).

▲ Since international shipping costs depend mainly on the weight and size of the package, and musical instruments generally have a certain size and weight, remember to check the weight of the product! For example, the guitar in the picture weighs 3.85kg, plus the packing materials and cartons, the actual weight is expected to be heavier! Since accurate international shipping quotes are not available until after the item has been shipped to our warehouse, you can use the shipping cost calculator to estimate and compare the shipping costs, time and restrictions of different shipping methods before placing your order.
*If you have any questions about the product, please feel free to contact our customer service for confirmation. We can ask questions to the seller on your behalf, but as we are not audio/instrument specialists, it is likely that you know more about the equipment than us. We will do our best to provide as much information to you as possible, but we may not be able to provide 100% accurate answers.
3. Copy the product page URL
Once you have selected your product, you can place your order! You can use ZenMarket to purchase the product and have it shipped to you from Japan! The purchase method is very simple - first copy the product URL!

▼Then post it to the search bar on the ZenMarket website and click 🔍.
4. Add to ZenMarket shopping cart
There are four ways to add products to the shopping cart:
- Paste the copied product URL to the search bar on the ZenMarket website and click 🔍. OR you can...
- Click on the ➕ symbol next to My Account and paste the URL in the small window that pops up. OR you can...
- Open the main page of your account, click "Add a store URL or bid link", and then paste the URL in the confirmation window that pops up.
- Click on "Find it for me" and then paste the URL in the confirmation window that pops up.
NOTE: You will need to be logged in to your ZenMarket account for this process to work.
5. Enter the desired color, quantity, etc.
If necessary, please enter details such as style and quantity in the "Product Description" pop-up window for confirmation by our staff. If you buy more than one item, please remember to change the quantity! Finally, if you are sure there is no problem, just click "Add" and you are done!

▼Check my account: You will see that the items have been added to your shopping cart and our team will review and confirm them for you and provide you with a quote.
After reviewing the products, a quote will appear, including:
- Product price
- Shipping fee within Japan (if applicable)
- 500 yen service fee.
After confirming the quotation, you can click on "ADD FUNDS" to deposit money into your ZenMarket account. There are many familiar payment methods such as credit card or Paypal, but if you want to save on payment fees, we'd suggest using Wise. Wise Payment fees are less than 1% of your deposit amount!
Once you have added funds to your account, you can officially place your order by clicking on the Pay button.

If you want to cancel an item, just click the trash can symbol 🗑️ on the far right side of the window cancel the product!
If you wish to cancel, we recommend doing this before you pay for an item. If you attempt to cancel after payment and the seller rejects our cancel request, we have no choice but to continue the transaction as per Digimart's Terms & Conditions.

Purchase FAQ
Check out some frequently asked questions our customers have about ordering instruments from Japan.
Can I send rosewood instruments?
Yes! As of November 26th, 2019, ZenMarket is able to ship Rosewood Instruments.
What is the approximate shipping cost for sending musical instruments?
Because we cannot accurately calculate international shipping costs until we have taken the necessary measurements and packaged your instrument (according to your chosen shipping method), we cannot provide you with an accurate quote until the item is shipped to our warehouse. However, you can use the shipping calculator to estimate the shipping cost, time, and limitations of different shipping methods before placing your order.
I am worried that my instrument will be damaged during shipping, can I request a package reinforcement service?
Yes! In general, we will take into account the fragility, size, etc. of your item when we consolidate it and pack it carefully. In most cases, our packages are strong enough to withstand the impacts and collisions you would expect from general handling and delivery.
If your product is very fragile, heavy, or large in size, you are concerned about the safety of your item, or you just want some extra protection, you can order our reinforcement service for just an extra 1,000 yen!
