​江戸時代に刊行された世界最古の折り紙の専門書『秘傳千羽鶴折形』の技術を使い、古典的な和紙にはない色彩を自ら手染めすることで、現代的な感性へと再構築した「Japanese Modern Renzuru Art」シリーズの作品です。
​This piece belongs to the "Japanese Modern Renzuru Art" series, a contemporary reinterpretation of "Hiden Senbazuru Orikata"—the world's oldest origami book, published during the Edo period. By personally hand-dyeing the Washi paper with colors not found in traditional palettes, I have breathed new life into these classic forms.

・​一枚の和紙に細かな切り込みを入れて折り上げる伝統的な連鶴の技法で、5羽の鶴を折り上げています。
・Five cranes are folded from a single sheet of Japanese paper using the traditional Renzuru technique, which involves making subtle cuts into the paper.
