RecensioneThe shipping method was great and the items were packed nicely. However, when the package arrived and was being delivered, FedEx tried to charge me more money for shipping because the initial fee I paid to ZenMarket was not listed anywhere on their invoices. Customs required FedEx provide the shipping information to calculate the duty/tax on the item. Their estimate of the shipping surpassed what I paid to ZenMarket by RM200. Therefore, FedEx was trying to collect money for duty and taxes as it would have surpassed their minimum cost (RM500) for what an item's value + shipping adds up to before they charge taxes. However, after two days of back and forth messages with FedEx, I sent them a screenshot from the parcels page on ZenMarket to show the value of the item I paid + the shipping I paid for that equaled in value to 10,392 yen or RM430 and thus, they released the package to me, duty free. This could have all been avoided if on the invoice from ZenMarket, they included the shipping cost from Japan to said destination (in my case, Malaysia) to avoid any delays in the receiver getting their item and with less hassle. I am a bit concerned as I have a bigger package coming from ZenMarket through FedEx again where I do know it will surpass the RM500 cost as if the actual amount of shipping I am charged from by ZenMarket isn't listed on the invoice, FedEx may repeat the same case where they make their own estimation and charge me double. |
