世界的芸術家、葛飾北斎。その『富嶽三十六景』中の『東都駿臺』です。龍香堂と親交の有る版画研究室から買い取りました。北斎の描いた富士の自然な美を、手摺木版で忠実に復刻した作品です。

◎こちらは額に入れた状態なので、すぐに飾ることが出来ます。

※画像３は版木の一部と裏面の画像です。版画用染料が裏写りしているのは、印刷ではないことの証しです。

●「富嶽三十六景」四十六枚は、古来日本人のすべてに愛され親しまれてきた。富士山を中心に、自然界の風景を幾何学的要素に還元して見る手法を縦横に駆使し、清新な色調で組絵の面白さを求めた傑作で、北斎五十年間の画業は、まさに此処に凝縮されていたと言えます。更に、西洋から輸入された人工顔料ベルリアン・ブルーを用い、従来の藍よりも一際鮮やかな発色が評判になり大流行を呼びました。

【作品解説】「東都駿臺」（とうとするがだい）：
駿臺とは現代の神田駿河台である。その高台に並ぶ武家屋敷の甍の横に富士が顔を出している。画中の窪んだ空間から富士の眺望が開ける坂道の雰囲気が素晴らしい。季節は夏であろうか、扇で額をかざす者や木々の鮮やかな緑から大変季節感のある描写となっている。行商人や武士など画中に描かれた人物たちの躍動感も面白い作品である。
