幾多のマイナーチェンジ・仕様変更を経てその時代のスタンダードとして生産され続けていた当モデルですが、今回は原点回帰的な仕様の'50s＆'60sの2モデルとなって登場しました。ウェイトリリーフ(肉抜き軽量化)を無くしたソリッドマホガニーボディにメイプルトップ。ローズ指板にマホガニーネックは50s系プロファイルよりやや薄めで演奏性を高めたスリム・テーパーグリップで、滑らかに処理された指板サイドエッジやミディアムジャンボフレットもありさらに演奏性を向上。ピックアップにはBurstbucker 61を、コンデンサーにはオレンジドロップを搭載。コントロールはセレクター・各ボリューム＆トーンのシンプルで簡単なサーキットレイアウトとなっております。
コシのあるファットな中低域とクリアに抜けてくる高域がバランス良く再生され、クリーンでは芯の通った綺麗なハムバッカートーンを、ドライブさせればミッドレンジを中心にガツンとパンチのあるロックトーンを出力致します。
