الملاحظاتThings are handled pretty well with this service. The payment fees seem greater than the 3.5%, more like 10%, which I need to ask them about. The very slow response to requests, typically 24 hours, makes it impractical to ask questions of sellers, which is a REAL problem for some auction items. Once shipped, things arrive in about a week to the West Coast of the US via EMS. Yahoo auctions allow for some loose rules compared to Ebay, allowing cancellations and bid refusals, so if you really want an item, it's best to place a low bid early, to see if it takes, then place a sniper bid. Even then, there is no guarantee the seller will accept your bid. Also, bids submitted late can automatically extend the bidding, totally benefiting the seller. I don't like that at all as a buyer. No way that happens with Ebay. You also have no way of knowing when the MPP (minimum purchase price) has been met if one has been set by the seller. Ebay lets you know when minimums have been met. Also, I've met a fair amount of buyers here that will not work with Proxy Services like this one, limiting your choices sometimes. This is frustrating and weird as proxy services should be the most reliable buyers. However, with their very slow responses to emails, that may be why they don't like working with them. Best to only use this service for things simply not available in your market. Fee's: Money Exchange Fee (I'm seeing 10%), Auction Fee, Local Shipping, VAT, Shipping to US. It adds up, that's five potential hits in the chain of a single purchase. |
