Geri BildirimI made a mistake by placing an order for a pair of bluetooth earbuds with the charging case inside (by JP custom, apparently it is a forbidden item that cannot be shipped internationally). However, the staff attending to my case did not reject the order and just placed it, and I only found out that the item cannot be shipped overseas when it already arrived at Zenmarket’s warehouse.
I was subsequently informed that the package had to either (1) be returned to the seller, or (2) be shipped domestically, or (3) be disposed, should the first 2 options not be viable. While the purchasing team was getting in contact with the seller, I managed to get hold of a friend who was fortunately staying in Japan at that time to receive the parcel on my behalf. Subsequently, I tried multiple times to notify Zenmarket via their message function that I would like to request for a domestic delivery and would like to ask for a quote, each time I was attended to by a different officer that gave a generic reply that the team was waiting for the seller’s reply, that they normally did not do domestic shipping and that they could only provide the quote if I confirm domestic delivery option. The whole back-and-forth communication dragged across 3 working days, and I eventually had to make a phone call directly to Zenmarket’s office to get them to expedite my request. At the end of the day, the company which claims to provide overseas forwarding service failed to render the service that they promised to deliver, on top of that still charging customers additional fees for domestic delivery (FYI they charged 10% handling fee based on item value for domestic delivery, on top of the domestic delivery cost. This handling fee was not stated anywhere in their website because, as Zenmarket informed, they do not normally engage in domestic delivery), all the while leaving the customer to fend for themselves and frustrated. Overall, it feels to me that they are not transparent with the fees and services. Would not recommend this to any of my friends. |

Geri BildirimThis was my first time in using Zenmarket and I have to say that I am so impressed by the service, absolutely delighted with how easy it was to use and the communication has been excellent. Managed to get some hard to get CD’s which were only available through a bands website who did not ship to UK. Items well packaged and arrived really quickly. I would highly recommend to anyone trying to get items from Japan. |
