The official Tamagotchi Japan site has been updated with a new Japanese coloured Tamagotchi (similar dimensions to the Tamagotchi M!X) called, Tamagotchi Meets. Tamagotchi Meets was released on November 23rd 2018 and is now available through ZenMarket. There are two different versions; Tamagotchi Meets Fairy Version, and Tamagotchi Meets Magical Version both versions have exclusive characters and destinations.

The gameplay of mixing different characters is a lot similar to Tamagotchi M!X, however, you can now raise twins! Tamagotchi pets will also make a return, you will be able to get them married and mix their offspring as well.

As I'm sure you can see from the picture above there are 11 returning characters and 18 new ones totalling to 29 characters in total. This may not seem like a lot to someone who doesn't know much about Tamagotchi, but by mixing characters the variations are almost endless. The same is said when mixing your Tamagotchi's pet, where there are over 1200 variations.

The Tamagotchi Meets was released alongside TamaTown (a companion app) that connects to your Tamagotchi via BlueTooth. With the application, you will be able to play games with Tamagotchi lovers from all over the world. Don't worry if you can't get your hands on the new Tamagotchi straight away, because you can use the app without owning one.
